Netherlands

Last week, I went to the Netherlands. I had never been there, and I loved it! The culture, the countryside, the cities…

First, I went to Keukenhof, a tulip park where I bought some tulips to bring home  

 

 Then I went to The Hague, and it was even better, because we went to the beach and than had dinner in a really cool restaurant. I didn’t buy anything, though

  

 

 

 

 

 

Next day, we went to Amsterdam, which is, no doubt, my favourite Dutch city! I couldn’t visit Anne Frank’s house though too much people!

 

 

 

Shopping&Cupcakes

Today I went with J. to Rivoli and Le Marais to do some shopping  

Obligated visit to H&M of course, then our favourite vintage shops in Le Marais and then we discovered (or should I say, I discovered cause Julia showed me) the cutest little shops in that neighbourhood, where I bought this amazing necklace !

Result: No money… but so happy!

Seven things about me :)

Well, I got tagged by Jules in the city into this game, so I decided to do it just in case I’d lose all my teeth

1. I’m Spanish, and I’ve lived in Madrid since I was five. Nearly two years ago I moved to Paris and even though I didn’t want to (at first), now I love it here

2. I’m addicted to some fashion magazines, like Glamour, Muteen (sometimes) and Vogue.

3. I’m like, the clumsiest person ever. Seriously, if there’s a single hole  in the floor or something to trip over, I’ll find it.

4. I can’t go shopping without buying something. I have to get at least one thing or I feel like it was all for nothing.

5. I look younger than I am, because I’m small and thin. That’s usually a problem when I have to pretend I’m older (you can ask my friends how stressed I get ). I know they say small is beautiful, but…why me?

6. I have a thing for dark chocolate. 

7. My best moments: free time, friends and music to have fun

Evening dresses

Yesterday I discovered a new page, asos.com.

It’s an English fashion page where you can buy clothes, shoes and accesories and you get them a week later or so.

There are some known brands at a really reasonable price, and the dresses are amazing!

I fell in love with some of them, what do you think?

Stella Mccartney

Having been bought by the Gucci Group in 2001, Stella McCartney’s was a profitable brand going through vast expansion by 2008 – particularly in Asia - and her family was growing, too: she had three children in the space of almost as many years. The well-known fact is that her father is ex-Beatle Sir Paul McCartney.
 
However, determinedly not bestowed the life of a rock star’s daughter, Stella McCartney went to state school and in 1995 graduated from London’s Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design. She had previously apprenticed with Christian Lacroix and on Savile Row. Her graduation show, attended by her parents (her adored mother Linda McCartney died in 1998), featured supermodel friends Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss on the catwalk.

• Stella McCartney was appointed chief designer at the French ready-to-wear house, Chloe, in March 1997. Her first collection teamed lacy petticoat skirts with fine tailoring and was hailed a triumph
• A vegetarian like her mother, Linda, she won’t use leather or fur
• In 2001 Stella was recruited by Gucci to develop her own label and Phoebe Philo took over at Chloe
• In 2003 she married Alasdhair Willis, the publisher of Wallpaper, on the island of Bute – wearing an updated version of her mother’s wedding dress
 
Stella McCartney has also designed several collections for Adidas and Puma, as well as a sell out H&M line.

Oxford Street

Today I went to Oxford Street to do some shopping

Oxford Street is the biggest street I’ve ever seen! Seriously, and it’s all clothing stores! :O I shopped all day long and I just arrived to half the street…My favourites…well, I wouldn’t really know, but I did an amazing discover today: TOPSHOP.

Topshop is a Britsh chain of clothing shops that was created in the late 70s . It’s operating in more than 100 countries, but sadly not in France (or Spain)   Lots of celebrities have created collections for this shop, including Kate Moss and Stella Vine. The one in Oxford Street is the world’s largest fashion store…no wonder I loved it!

The Devil wears Prada

Today I finished reading ‘The Devil wears Prada’. I know, I’m a little bit late (it came out in 2003 ) but I never found the time to finish it…and I have to say I LOVED it! I had seen the movie, of course, but reading it is a totally different thing…

As everyone knows, the story’s about a girl (Andrea) with no fashion sense at all who starts working at Runway, the fictional Vogue, as the assistant of Miranda Priestly, the most important person in the fashion industry. The woman’s a bitch, of course, and she makes Andrea’s life impossible, making her mistreat her family and friends. The book ends when Andrea gets fired because she couldn’t stand Miranda anymore and she tells her to ‘aller se faire foutre’.

I really understand her situation, but I think I would really love a job like that! Wouldn’t you?

 That’s Andrea, when she’s already let the people in Runway ‘transform’ her.

St. Valentine’s Day (again…)

Oh my God. Here it comes again. St Valentine’s day, a party which us single girls don’t usually like THE day to love…

The day was originally a pagan festival that was renamed after two Early Christian martyrs named Valentine. It became associated with love in the High Middle Ages. However, some people are convinced that it’s just a phony comercial celebration, invented as an excuse to con innocent people. Personally, I think in a good relationship every day should be great, not just once a year…But again, that may be just cause I’m single :S

The start of something new

Well…I’ve done it, finally. I’ve decided to start a blog, and more  important, to keep doing it for a while It’s not going to be easy, but it’ll be fun, I’m sure. Here it goes…

Today our  winter holidays started (in fact, they start tomorrow) so I decided to come to London, a city I just LOVE, for a week. I went shopping (of course) and the result was a new pair of shoes (New Look), the latest British Vogue, and some amazing clothes spotted for next week.

Tomorrow I don’t really know what I’ll do, but I want to go to Harrods ASAP.
